About Us

The King Photo story started over 125 years ago in Raleigh, North Carolina. More recently though since 1966 four generations of the Showalter family have owned and operated the business that has been providing photo services to Virginia and clients all over the USA. We have learned a lot in that time and use that know-how to make your photo project look its best. 

We take pride in using the latest photo printing technology and equipment to produce vivid, long-lasting prints. From digital to film, we can print your photos in any size from lockets to wall murals. And on media from photographic paper, to canvas, to aluminum, to vinyl and watercolor paper. We even print on t-shirts, and porcelain ornaments.

And although our roots are in film processing we are a complete digital and video conversion lab as well. Scanning negatives, slides and prints. Transferring movie film and video tapes to DVD or other digital storage like USB thumbdrives and solid state hard drives.
